Offered is a mid century modern set of six Walnut and gray linen upholstered dining chairs by Adrian Pearsall. Adrian Pearsall graduated from university with a degree in architectural engineering. He left the architectural field after two years and founded “Craft Associates,” which became one of the country’s most prominent furniture design companies, in the Mid-Century “Atomic Age.” With the help of his wife Dorie, he began building furniture in the basement of their Kingston home and sold pieces from the back of their truck to prominent New York and Philadelphia department stores. Known for his daring designs which brought high style to the masses, he is credited with the creation of long and low gondola sofas, free-form walnut and glass tables, and the popularization of the venerable bean bag chair. Offered are a set of six dining chairs in new gray linen upholstery with a perfect price to allow for the purchase of fabric more fitting to the buyer’s taste.

Product Condition

The set was purchased in newly upholstered vintage condition. The fabric is a light linen used by antique stores to upholster pieces in what I am assuming is temporary fabric. There is also minor areas of wear to the legs.
