Mid Century Modern Thayer Coggin Sectional Sofa & Tables w New Upholstery

SKU: 254 Categories: , ,

Offered is a mid century modern Thayer Coggin sectional / modular sofa with a pair of tables with new upholstery. Thayer Coggin’s love for furniture creation began at a young age. As a young man, he founded “The James Manufacturing Company.” He began producing furniture for Sears Roebuck and Company. However, he yearned for the chance to produce more innovative designs, and as such, Coggin left for Europe to satisfy his need to learn about innovative design. Coggin would return to the U.S. as a contemporary furniture producer, creating a sleek, minimal look. Coggin collaborated with furniture designer, Milo Baughman, to create Mid-Century Modern furniture for the U.S. design elite during the mid-20th century. Featured here is a Thayer Coggin geometric modular sofa with tables. Two octagonal seats fit with a petite sofa like puzzle pieces with two tables completing the puzzle. This iconic sectional sofa has been freshly recovered in two different patterns in cranberry and cream. The tables are upholstered in a pearlized leatherette with a Lucite top.
