Offered is a mid century modern Paul MxCobb upholstered headboard, a metal frame and wood base. Paul McCobb was a modern furniture and Industrial designer. McCobb first came to prominence in 1948 as a design and decorating consultant for Martin Feinman’s Modernage furniture in New York City. While employed at Modernage, McCobb started the planner and directional furniture lines. Other well-known furniture lines designed by McCobb include “Predictor” by O’Hearn Furniture, “The Irwin Group” by Calvin Furniture, The Connoisseur collection by H. Sacks and Sons, The Calvin Group by Calvin Furniture and Directional by Calvin Furniture. The offered piece shows off McCobb’s classic clean lines while utilizing beautiful organic materials such as walnut and brass. The Greek key relief upholstery is in very good condition and just needs a good cleaning.
